Alan R. Conte age 60, passed away on Monday January 2, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital with his loving family by his side.
He was born in New Hartford, NY on August 5, 1956 a son of Lois (Mack) Conte and the late Alfonse V. Conte and was educated in local schools. Alan was the co-owner/operator of Victor Conte Sales Co. and was known in the community for his coin-op and music expertise. He was also the co-founder of Hippos The House of Billiards in Yorkville.
Alan is survived by his beloved mother Lois, his favorite children and their spouses Lynette and Jason Dundon, Marianne and Brian Nichols, Amanda and Patrick Carney and Alan J. Conte, and their mother Tina Conte; his cherished grandchildren Chase and Garrett Dundon and Aidan and Clara Nichols and he was excitedly awaiting the birth of his twin granddaughters; his sisters and brothers Donna DeRocco, Victor and Eileen Conte, Michael Conte, Cathi and Bob Morgan, Mary Jo and Larry Fredsell, Carolyn and Kevin Latimer and Susie and Charlie Greene; aunts and uncles Bob Mack, Cindy and Al Loeschner and Albert Johnson and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Frank DeRocco.
Alan was a true and loyal friend. No matter which of his friends you would ask, their response was the same, "Alan is my Best Friend".
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 3-7 pm at The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home Inc. 1122 Culver Ave. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 2:00 pm in Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Church.
In lieu of flowers, bring Utica Club.
