Mrs. Angela A. (Coccia) Di Meo, age 94, of Utica passed away on Wednesday October 4, 2017 at the Masonic Care Community with her loving family by her side.

Angela was born on September 12, 1923 in Rome, NY, a daughter of the late Angelo and Beatrice (Lamendola) Coccia. She received her education in Rome and was a proud graduate of The Academy of Holy Names.

On April 14, 1945 she was joined in marriage to Michael E. Di Meo in California a loving and blessed union of 36 years. The couple resided in New Hartford, until his passing in 1981. Angela worked with her husband Michael as a bookkeeper at the
Di Meo-Gale Food Brokerage Co., for many years until her retirement. They both enjoyed traveling with their family and friends and entertaining many throughout their years together.

Angela is survived by a son Michael and daughter-in-law Bernadette Di Meo of New Hartford and a daughter Margaret ( Maggie) and son-in-law John Bevilacqua of Frankfort; four grandchildren Michelle and her husband Thomas Smith, Jennifer
Di Meo, John and his wife Lixa Bevilacqua, Anthony and his wife Danielle Bevilacqua; her beloved great grandchildren Thomas and Olivia Smith, Leyla Bevilacqua and Enzo Bevilacqua. Angela is also survived by her two sisters Marie Rotolo and Helen Esposito of Rome, two sisters- in- law Theresa Di Meo of Utica and Rosalie Di Meo of FL. and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her two sisters Josephine Coccia and Justina and her husband Nat Cesari; her brothers in- law, Samuel Rotolo, Samuel Esposito, John Di Meo, Salvatore and his wife Josephine Di Meo and Raymond Di Meo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Angela's Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, October 7, at 1:00 pm at St. Anthony/St. Agnes Church. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday (today) from 5-8 pm at the Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home, 1122 Culver Ave.
