Anna Kloc Szwed Wojtowycz, age 93, of Utica, passed away on Sunday July 9, 2017 in Los Angeles, California.

Anna is survived by her sons Joseph, Thomas and Charlie; daughter Christine anda��grandchildren. She was preceded in death by hera��first husband Ivan Szwed, second husband Steve Wojtowycza��anda��her daughters Maria and Olga.

Anna, a survivor of WWII who migrated toa��the United States with her family in 1956, and tragically lost her husband,a��Ivana��from a freak accident by a faulty power line in July of 1957. She raised her 6a��childrena��alonea��by workinga��in a factory.a��She then met her second husband Steve who gave meaning to her life until she once again lost him. Anna moved to California where she spent most of her days enjoying the sun.a��a��Anna was popular in the neighborhooda��becausea��of her expertise in preparing tasty Europeana��cuisine. She will be lovingly missed.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon at The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home Inc. 1122 Culver Avenue, Utica.a��Her funeral services will commence at the conclusion of visitation at 12:00 noon in the funeral home,a��officiated by Father Michael Bundz of St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Volodymyr Cemetery, Whitesboro.

The family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the outpouring of love and kindness shown to them during this time of bereavement.
