Mrs. Anne (DeCarlo) Massaro, age 96, of Utica, passed away on Monday September 27, 2021, at home with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Utica on September 13, 1925, a daughter of the late Paul and Margaret Barnaba DeCarlo and was a graduate of TR Proctor High School. On November 8, 1952, she was married to Dominick R. “Doc” Massaro in St. Anthony of Padua Church, a blessed union of 69 years.
Anne was employed with the New York Bakery Co. and subsequently with the Smith Packing Co. for many years until her retirement.
Surviving is her beloved husband Dominick “Doc”; two sons and a daughter-in-law Richard and Christine Massaro of New Hartford and Thomas Massaro of Utica; three cherished grandchildren Brian, Daniel and Melissa Massaro; three sisters and one brother-in-law Mary Ernest of New Hartford, Rose White of NC and Barbara and Mike Ferro of MA; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Lena Greene and her brother Martin DeCarlo.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday Oct. 5th at 11:00 am in St. Anthony/St. Agnes Church. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to thank Live Long at Home, Hospice Care Inc., One Caring Place, Dr. Maria Kuehl at Sister Rose Vincent Family Medicine Center, VNA and Senior Network Health for the excellent care and services they provided Anne which allowed her to stay in her home to the very end."
