Annette "Cookie" (Gumbs) Eddy

Mrs. Annette "Cookie" Gumbs Eddy age 67, of Utica passed away on Sunday March 1, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

She was born in Utica on June 21, 1947 a daughter of the late Cyril and Congetta Bernardi Gumbs and was educated in local schools. She was married in 1970 to Louis Eddy for several years until his passing in 2002.

Annette was employed for several years with the General Electric Co., until her retirement. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony/St. Agnes Church.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law Michele and Walter Diachuk of Utica; one son and daughter-in-law Shawn and Jennifer Eddy of Ilion; two brothers and a sister-in-law Patrick and Rose Mary Gumbs of Utica and Ronald Gumbs of Syracuse; one sister and brother-in-law Cynthia and Joseph Gentile of Utica; her grandchildren Brianna and Nicholas Diachuk and Christopher, Anthony and Ianna Eddy; two nephews and several cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Sharon Eddy on September 29, 1977.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday 4/25/15 at 1:00 pm at St. Anthony/St. Agnes Church. Private interment will be in the family plot in CalvaryCemetery.

The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of mass in church.
