Mr. Anthony J. Randazzo, age 95, of New Hartford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 1, 2020 with the love and caring of his family.

He was born on May 23, 1924 in Utica, a son of the late Anthony and Theresa Trankini Randazzo. Anthony was a graduate of Utica College of Syracuse University and St. Johns Law School in NYC.

On November 23, 1947 he was joined in marriage to Bessie Broccoli, a blessed union of 65 years, until her passing in 2013.

Anthony proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII, having been a recipient of two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star for his heroic duty, serving under General George Patton. Following the service to his country, he had a long and distinguished career as a consultant in the defense industry. Anthony was a member of the Old Crow Association, VFW, Masons and was a lifetime member of the DAV.

One of Anthony’s passions was racquetball and he played until he was 76 years old.  He was known to beat many of his opponents, not by his agility but rather by the accuracy of his aim, often to the middle of his opponents back!.

Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Dominick Arcuri of Richmond, VA; his son and daughter-in-law Thaddeus and Gail Randazzo of New Hartford; his beloved grandchildren Thaddeus II and Joseph Randazzo, Daniel and Heather Randazzo, Reagan Powell, Deanna and Adam Powers, Valerie Arcuri and fiancé’ Zakary Pruitt, Alex and Rhiannon Rosen, Jennifer and Scott Siriano, Tanya and Jeff Smith and Andrew Clark and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. . He was predeceased by his son Anthony (Randy) Randazzo III, grandson AJ Randazzo, two brothers Andrew and Louis Randazzo, and his sister Angelina Delaguardia.

Anthony’s family will gather for a private graveside service in Forest Hill Cemetery, Utica, at a future date with Military Honors Conferred by the US Army. Please keep Anthony in your thoughts and prayers.
