Christine (Gerace) Hale

Christine (Gerace) Hale, age 67, of Cassville, passed away on Friday September 6, 2024, at the Abraham Hospice House in Rome, NY, after a courageous battle with cancer. Her loving family was by her side. 

She was born in Utica, on June 4, 1957, a daughter of the late Philip and Marjorie Spencer Gerace and was a graduate of JFK High School. On November 12, 1983, she was married to the love of her life, Mark Hale in Mt. Carmel Church, Utica, a loving and blessed union of nearly 41 years.

Christine was employed in the Claims Dept. at Utica National Insurance Co. for 24 years until her retirement in 2014. Christine was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, her family will forever hold her memory in their hearts. 

Surviving are her beloved husband, Mark; her daughter and son-in-law Erica and Joshua Payne of GA., her son and daughter-in-law Brian and Carryn Hale of Vernon, her cherished grandchildren Oliver and Nora Rose Payne; her sister and brother-in-law Donna and Arthur Nole of Utica; her brother Michael Gerace of Alaska; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Tammy and James Kerwin of Burlington Flats, NY and their children Brittany and Brandon, and many cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Philip and Marjorie, her sister Rosemary Gerace, and sister-in-law Gloria Gerace.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday September 15th from 2-4 pm at The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home Inc. 1122 Culver Ave. Utica. Funeral prayer services will be held at the conclusion of visitation at 4:00 pm in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Abraham House in memory of Christine. Envelopes will be available.
