BARNEVELD- Clyde K. "Buddy" Rotach, age 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 9, 2023, in the comfort and dignity of his own home surrounded by his loving wife and daughters.
He was born January 23, 1947, in Utica, a son of the late Clyde and Congetta (Arcuri) Rotach. On December 18, 1976, he married the love of his life, JoAnne, in St. Agnes Church, a forever blessed union. Clyde was employed as a heavy equipment operator with the City of Utica DPW for over 46 years. The last 20 years Clyde was the head of the Demolition Department where he excelled in the many demolition and beautification projects occurring within the city. He served his community with pride until his retirement in 2014.
Clyde is survived by his cherished wife, JoAnne; his two adored daughters, Autum Leigh Rotach and Jenna Audrey Rotach and her husband, Michael Blynt, who was like a son; one beloved grandson; his dear siblings, Frederick Rotach and Petronella Yozzo; sister-in-law, Janet Rotach; as well as several treasured nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He shared a special bond with his cousin Bobby Durante and friend Danny Eanniello. The family also wants to thank Mark Yozzo for his friendship and support through this sad time.
Clyde was predeceased by his siblings, Gerald “Jerry” Rotach, Cheryl Yozzo, and Mary Anne Damuth.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday May 16, 2023, at 11:00 am in St. Anthony/St. Agnes Church. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Clyde’s name may be made to the National Wildlife Federation or No Kid Hungry.
