Corcoran “Cory” Centolella age 52, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Monday May 13, 2024, at his home from complications due to epilepsy.
He was born in Utica on July 6, 1971, a son of Michael and Marie Alati Centolella and was a graduate of UFA and MVCC.
Cory was employed by many area restaurants throughout the years. His last several years he became a fixture at the original Chesterfield Restaurant on Bleecker St. and most recently at their new location Tavolo’s Restaurant in N. Utica, where he was more than an employee but part of the Borruso family. The patrons would always ask for him by name as he had a large following. Cory was honest to a fault and the most accommodating, kind and gentle person you could know. If you were his friend, you were surely a lucky person. His presence will forever remain in the hearts and minds of all that knew and loved him.
Surviving are his beloved parents Marie and Mike; his two loving sisters Angeline Centolella and Michaela and husband Kham Khiamdavanh; his brother Austin Centolella; his nephews and nieces Kham Jr., Emily, Liam and Sophia Khiamdavanh and Tyler Centolella; his aunt Renee Alati and his uncle Joseph Alati and son Cameron and several loving cousins especially the Migliaccio family and many dear friends. He also leaves his second family at Tavolo’s Restaurant who loved Cory more than words can say.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial to be Celebrated this Tuesday May 21st at 12:00 Noon in Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Church. The family will greet visitors at the conclusion of Mass in church.
