Elizabeth M. "Betty" Nicoletti

Mrs. Elizabeth M. "Betty" (Coppotelli) Nicoletti, age 92, passed away on Thursday April 20, 2017 at the Sitrin Healthcare Center with the love and support of her family.

She was born on December 28, 1924, in Utica, a daughter of the late Albert and Christina Podagrosi Coppotelli, and was educated in local schools.

Betty was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother whose life centered around her family. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Surviving are three loving daughters and her son-in-law, Julie and Richard Venezio (who was more like a son to Betty) of New Hartford, Christine Nicoletti of New Hartford, and Lynda Nicoletti-Cunningham of Whitesboro; her beloved grandchildren, Jennifer and Nick Garcea, and Brittany Venezio and fiancAC. Alex DiPietro; her cherished great granddaughter Ashtyn Garcea; one sister Theresa Dancause of WA; her sister-in-law Marie Coppotelli of CT; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Helen Saladino; brother Donald Coppotelli; brother-in-law Marc Dancause and special nephew Albert Saladino.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Church. Private interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home Inc. 1122 Culver Ave. The family extends a special Thank You to the entire staff of Sitrin Healthcare, especially the Sycamore Household, for their exceptional care and compassion. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sitrin Foundation 2050 Tilden Ave, New Hartford, NY 13413 or envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
