Felix J. Montana

Mr. Felix J. Montana, age 90, of Utica, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2013 at St. Joseph Nursing Home, with his loving family by his side.

He was born on November 3, 1922, in Utica, a son of the late Philip and Vincenza Mineo Montana, and was educated in local schools.

On October 16, 1948, he was joined in marriage to the late Rose A. Licari in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort, NY, a blessed union of 50 years, until her passing on October 18, 1998.

Felix proudly served his country during WWII in the US Navy.

He was employed for many years as a Supervisor at Doe Skin Products Co. in Clayville, NY, and also at Revere Copper and Brass Co. during the later part of his life until his retirement.

Surviving are one loving daughter and son-in-law, Vincenza and Stephen Coleman of Utica; his cherished grandchildren, Stephen Coleman Jr. of Utica, and Tricia and Mark Service of Utica; three cherished great-grandchildren, Alexandria Rose, Thomas Francis and Nicholas Joseph; one brother Joseph Montana of Utica, his in-laws, Mimi Montana of New Hartford, Angeline and Stuart Hazlett of Nelliston, NY, and Sam Licari of Frankfort; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Anthony (Tony), Michael and Sam Montana; and two sisters Laura Cattat and Frances Russo

His funeral will be held on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. from The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home, Inc. 1122 Culver Ave., and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Marks Church, N. Utica, with Military Honors. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
