Frank P. Damiano

Mr. Frank Paul Damiano, of New York Mills, passed away on Saturday May 7, 2022, at Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse.

He was born in Utica on June 9, 1932, a son of the late Joseph M. and Rose V. Damiano. He graduated from Proctor High School, and Ithaca College, majoring in music. After graduation Frank studied piano with Ruth Slenczynska in New York City. He taught piano in his studio, at 1156 Webster Ave. Utica for over forty years. He was also an artist painting on acrylics and watercolors.

Frank was predeceased by seven brothers, Vincent, Joseph Jr., Andrew, Gerald, Michael, Alfred, and Peter; three sisters, Angeline Rescigno, Rose Tomaino, and Ellen Schoonmaker;

He is survived by one sister-in-law Irene “Rita” Damiano and many dear nieces and nephews and his “Bossy”canine companion Trey.

Those wishing may attend his graveside prayer services to be held Wednesday 5/18/22 at 11:00 am at the family plot in St. Agnes Cemetery, Utica.

Frank befriended many stray cats. Those who wish, may consider a donation to the Steven Swan Humane Society in his memory.
