Frank M. Brendes

Frank M. Brendes age 81, passed away on Friday February 21, 2025, at the Eastern Star Home in Oriskany where he had been a resident for the past 4 years.

He was born in Utica on May 17, 1943, a son of the late Harold and Rose Fanelli Brendes and was a 1962 graduate of TR Proctor High School.

Frank was a computer operator for over 35 years having been employed with Blue-Cross Blue-Shield, Oneida National Bank, Norstar/Fleet Bank and lastly for 17 years with Upstate Computer Center in Marcy, until his retirement. In spite of his disability, Frank remained totally independent. He was admired by all who knew him and was always devoted to his Catholic Faith

Surviving is his extended family David Ferris who took care of Frank, Stefanie Ferris (Jose Garcia) and their son Arlo Fabian Garcia, Brandon Ferris and Jim Recknall and several cousins.

Visitation will be held on Monday March 10th from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon at The Scala, Roefaro & Karboski Funeral Home 1122 Culver Ave., Utica. Funeral service prayers will commence at the conclusion of visitation at 12:00 noon in the funeral home. Private interment will be in the family plot in Calvary Cemetery.
