Mr. Frank C. Perretta, 81, of Utica, passed away on Friday November 4, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Utica on July 16, 1935, son of the late Rocco and Angeline Sirianni Perretta; he was a graduate of TR Proctor High School and attended Michigan State College. Frank served our country in the US Army and the US Army Reserves. On October 23, 1965 he was joined in marriage to Dianne Yule at St. Peters Church, Utica; they enjoyed a blessed union of 51 years.
Frank was employed by WKTV for 42 years, until his retirement as program director in 1997. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local #182. Frank loved spending summers at the family camp he built on Piseco Lake. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. A proud patriarch, his life was centered on his family with whom he truly enjoyed sharing his broad knowledge; he always found time for fun with them. He will be sadly missed, never forgotten, always loved.
Surviving are his beloved wife Dianne, his treasured children James and Heather Perretta of Barneveld, Joseph Perretta of New Hartford, Lisa and Nicholas Grieco, Laurie and Thomas Zielinski, Christina Perretta and Therese Perretta all of Utica, and John and Nicole Perretta of New Hartford; his cherished grandchildren Melinda, Jordyn, Joseph Jr., Hayden, Victoria, Nicholas, Matthew, Jessica, Marcella, Gianna, Olivia, Emilia, Lucia, Aria, Justin, Julia and Marisa; one adored great granddaughter Naomi; one loyal brother and sister-in-law Anthony and Patricia Perretta of New Hartford, his niece and nephew and many dear relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Masonic Home (Troy Household), the St E's ICU staff and all of his doctors for the phenomenal care Frank received.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7 pm at The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home Inc. 1122 Culver Ave. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10:00 am in Historic Old St. John's Church, Downtown Utica. Private interment will be in St. Peters Cemetery.
