Mr. Frank N. Sciortino age 87, of Utica passed away on Saturday February 11, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital with the love and support of his family.

He was born on October 1, 1929 in Utica a son of the late Nicholas and Josephine Morreale Sciortino and was a graduate of TR Proctor High School. Frank served our country during the Korean War in the US Army.

On August 22, 1953, he was married to Carmella Ciacciarelli in St. Anthony of Padua Church, a blessed union of 63 years. Frank was employed for over 20 years in the shoe retail business working with the Shoe Box. He then was employed with the Utica City School District for several years until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and also the American Legion Fort Schuyler Post.

Surviving are his beloved wife Carmella; his daughter and son-in-law Cynthia and Kenneth Klein of Utica; his grandchildren Jennifer and Paul Barnes and Dr. Kendra and Mark Mascia; great-grandchildren Caleb James Barnes and Declan Kenneth Barnes; one sister-in-law Gloria Sciortino; two special nieces Linda and Camille Sciortino and several cousins. He was predeceased by his loving son Nicholas Sciortino in 2010 and one brother Philip N. Sciortino.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday morning at 11:30 am in St. Anthony/St. Agnes Church, with Military Honors conferred. Private entombment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will greet visitors at the conclusion of mass in church.
