Frank A. Talarico age 91, of Utica, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2022. Born September 23, 1931, in Utica, NY, he was the son of the late Andrew and Pauline (Bommarito) Talarico.
Drafted into the Army in 1952, Frank completed his training at Fort Belvedere, VA. He served two years of active duty in Germany and France. In 1954, he returned to Utica and enrolled in classes at Utica College. In 1957, Frank established the Tally Construction Co. which he owned and operated for 53 years, until his retirement.
Frank was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He was a generous person who gave to others in so many countless ways.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Carol Ann (Hitzelberger), and their four children Patricia Talarico of Central Square, NY, Mary (Michael) Carusi of Palo Alto, CA, Jean (Cortland) Schroder of Manlius, NY and Carol Lynn (Dennis) Boice of Manlius, NY. He also leaves behind his seven grandchildren Matthew, Olivia, Madelyn, Claire, Charlie, Grace, and Lily, whom he loved and adored. Additionally, he is survived by his brother Andrew Talarico; his sister-in-law Rose Talarico; his niece Gina (Rocco) Giruzzi; his nephew Ronald Jr. (Christine) Talarico, and many cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Ronald Talarico.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday, December 28, from 5 -7 PM at The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home, 1122 Culver Ave Utica, NY 13501. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 29, at 11:00 AM at Mary, Mother of Our Savior Church (Lourdes Campus), 2222 Genesee St, Utica, NY 13502.
