Geraldine M. (Grande) Norton

Geraldine Marie (Grande) Norton age 84, of Utica passed away on Saturday February 11, 2023, at MVHS, St. Luke’s Campus, with the love and support of her family.

She was born in Utica, on February 14, 1938, a daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth Talerico Grande and was a graduate of TR Proctor High School. On December 19, 1956, she was married to Thomas J. Norton in Mt. Carmel Church, a blessed union of 66 years.

Geraldine was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, whose life centered around her family. They will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

Surviving are her beloved husband Thomas; two daughters and sons-in-law Linda and Robert “Bob” Gentile of Yorkville, and Cynthia and Anthony “Tony” Salerno of Utica; one son and daughter-in-law Thomas L. and Dr. Lora (Papandrea) Norton of New Hartford; her beloved grandchildren Robert and Jenna Gentile, Danielle and Adam Prue and Anthony Salerno; one great grandson Landon Gentile; her sister Marilyn Keating and her nephew Robert Keating of FL; her dear aunt Theresa Pitrel of Utica and several cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday 2/21/23 at 11:00 am in Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Church, Utica. The family will greet all visitors at the conclusion of mass in church. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
