Mrs. Gloria (Belmont) Klein, age 91, of Utica, passed away on Tuesday October 18, 2022, at the Masonic Care Community with the love and support of her family.
She was born in Utica on December 17, 1930, a daughter of the late Leo and Lena Mattia Belmont and was educated in local schools. On May 19, 1952, she was married to Lester J. Klein in St. Agnes Church, a blessed union of 52 years until his passing on January 6, 2005. Gloria and Lester were a loving couple who enjoyed traveling and their family. Gloria’s greatest joy in life was her time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her memory will forever live in their hearts.
Gloria was employed as a Medical Secretary for several medical offices in the area, until her retirement.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law Kenneth and Cynthia (Sciortino) Klein of Utica; her beloved grandchildren Jennifer and Paul Barnes and Dr. Kendra Klein-Mascia and husband Mark Mascia; her cherished great-grandchildren Caleb James Barnes, Declan Kenneth Barnes, Shira Carmella Klein-Mascia and Zahara Annette Klein-Mascia; her sister-in-law Joyce Klein; her dear in-law Carmella Sciortino; her nieces and nephews, Carl Pecheone, Michael and Jocelyne Graziadei, Steven and Kristine Pecheone, Julie and Joseph Smith, Tom and Patricia Schamerhorn, Kevin Klein and Linda Ricco, Scott Klein and Yvonne Ventresca and Craig and Patricia Klein. She was predeceased by two sisters Nancy Pecheone and Lillian Graziadei Castano, her in-laws Lawrence Klein, Raymond Klein, Patricia Schamerhorn, and two nephews Rocco Graziadei and Christopher Klein.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Friday 10/21/22 at 1:00 pm in St. Anthony/St. Agnes Church, Utica. The family will greet visitors at the conclusion of mass in church. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
The family extends a sincere Thank You to the Dr’s, nurses and staff of the Queens Household at the Masonic Care Community for their care and compassion given to Gloria.
