Grace N. (Maggi) Jennings

Mrs. Grace N. (Maggi) Jennings, age 88, of Utica, passed away on Wednesday June 16, 2021 at the St. Luke’s Home with the love and support of her family.

She was born in Utica on December 20, 1932, a daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Scalzo Maggi and was a graduate of TR Proctor High School. In 1954 she was married to Richard A. Jennings and shared a blessed union of 46 years until his passing in 2000. Grace was employed with the Mele Manufacturing Co. for over 20 years until her retirement. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose life centered around her family. They will forever hold her memory in their hearts. Grace also enjoyed her home and cooking, as well as her weekly trips to the hairdresser to visit with the ladies. She will be fondly missed.

Surviving are four daughters and sons-in-law Debi Ziobro of Utica, Sherry Kamboj of CA., Linda and husband Gerry Picard of Watertown and Joanne and husband Bob Crouse of Utica; one son Richard and wife Marilyn Jennings of GA.; her beloved grandchildren Jessica and Jon Davies, Michael Ziobro, Edmund Hyatt, Shaun Jones and fiancé Sarah, Richard Jennings, Kaylynn and Cort Brennan and Jacqualine Maerz; beloved great grandchildren Mason, Colton, Madison, Gianna, Jayce, Isabella and Kayleigh; one brother Angelo and wife Sharon Maggi of Syr., and one sister Philomena Lazzaro of CA.; and several nieces and nephews especially her niece Kelly Maggi Flaherty and husband Mike, with whom Grace shared a special bond. She was predeceased by one brother Joseph and his wife Timmy Maggi.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11:00 am in Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Church. Private interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. The family will greet visitors at the conclusion of mass.
