Grace N. (Elacqua) Leone

Mrs. Grace N. (Elacqua) Leone age 82, of Utica, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center with her loving family by her side.

She was born on September 25, 1932, in West Virginia, a daughter of the late Peter and Palma Esposito Elacqua, and was educated in local schools.

On June 14, 1952, she was united in marriage to Frank B. Leone, Sr. in St. Anthony of PaduaChurch, a blessed union of 56 years, until his passing on May 8, 2009.

A loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and sister, her life centered around her family. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

She was a parishioner of St. Anthony/St. Agnes Church.

Surviving are her three loving daughters and sons-in-law Florene and Gerald Fetterly of Frankfort, Nancy and Fred Jacobs of Utica, and LoriAnn Leone and Dan Smith of Utica; three loving sons and daughters-in-law, Patsy F. and Anne Leone of Rochester, Frank B.,Jr. and Rosalyn Leone of New Hartford and David and Cathe Leone of Fallon, NV; 13 cherished grandchildren; 19 cherished great-grandchildren; one brother Anthony Elacqua of Utica, three sisters and a brother-in-law Augustine DeCarlis and Claude Rahauiser, Congetta Elacqua, and JoAnne and Joseph Barbero all of Utica; her in-laws Mary DiGristina, Angeline (Shirley) and Frank Cannistra, Joseph and Flora Leone, Anthony Leone, Russell and Laura Jean Leone and Violet Leone. She was predeceased by two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Mary Elacqua, and Joseph and Flora Elacqua, two sisters and brothers-in-law Mary and Eugene Valenti and Ellen and Louis Genoand a sister-in-law Laura Elacqua.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10:30 am in St. Anthony/St. Agnes Church. Private interment will be in CalvaryCemetery.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7 pm at The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Culver Ave.
