Sauquoit- Harold “Tom” Vorce, 92, passed away peacefully at the Abraham House in Rome on July 13, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Tom was born on June 4, 1930, in Albany the son of the late Harold Ordway and Gladys Lucille (Stettinius) Vorce. He graduated from Menands High School and went on to earn an Associate’s Degree from RIT. On March 16, 1986, Tom married Sharon Ann Reynolds, a blessed union of 30 years prior to her passing on September 4, 2016. He was an Engineering Technician for General Electric for over 30 years prior to his retirement. Tom served his country bravely during the Korean Conflict from 1951-1955 in the US Navy.
He is survived by his daughters, Michelle and John Heinig, Crystal and Scott Maury, Cheryl Vorce, Valerie and Dale Dousharm, Cindy and John David and Lenore Woodill; eight beloved grandchildren and his sister, Lenore Tagan. Tom was predeceased by his brother, Dick Vorce and sister, Marilyn Loucher.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Tom will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife, Sharon, in Crown Hill Memorial Park, with Military Honors conferred.
