Helen J. (Frisillo) Maggiolino

Mrs. Helen J. (Frisillo) Maggiolino, age 94, of Utica, passed away on Saturday October 28, 2017 at the St. Luke's Home.

She was born on June 17, 1923 in Utica, a daughter of the late Frank and Giacinta DiVozzio Frisillo, and was educated in local schools.

On September 9, 1946, she was joined in marriage to Anthony Maggiolino in St. Anthony's Church, a blessed union of 23 years until his passing in 1969. Helen was employed for many years at the Boston Store in Utica, and also at Oneida National Bank until her retirement. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Maryann Lewis and Jim of Utica; three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Terra Maggiolino of Texas, Frank and Patricia Maggiolino of Whitesboro, and Richard and Dawn Maggiolino of Whitesboro; her beloved grandchildren, Matthew and Tamberlyn, Curtis and Kristin, Joseph and Heather and Bethany Maggiolino, Melissa and Jose Acosta, Anthony Maggiolino, Janine and Paul Finochio, Christopher Lewis and fiancAC.e Laura Hunzinger, Caitlynn Lewis, Laura, Andrew, and Aaron Maggiolino, Kelly and Dana Lonis and David Lonis; several beloved great-grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Jenny Frisillo, Cosmine Mulvihill, Diana Forte and Genevieve Di Mambro and several loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Lucy Derrico, and five brothers, John, Albert, Alfred and James Frisillo, and Alex Deschano.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 12:00 noon in Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Private interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday morning from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home Inc. 1122 Culver Ave. Utica. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the nurses and staff of the St. Luke's Home especially Maria, Caitlyn, Jocelyn, Kim and Pam for their loving care and compassion given to Helen.
