Mr. James L. Post, age 67, of Utica died Wednesday July 5, 2017 at the Veterans Hospital in Syracuse, NY after a courageous battle with Leukemia.

He was born in Utica on October 7, 1949 to Marjorie and Paul Post. After graduating high school, Jim joined the US Marine Corp where he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He was employed for several years with Sam's Club of Rochester, where he was a well-respected meat cutter. Jim enjoyed listening to the Beatles and cheering on his favorite sports teams, the NY Giants, Yankee's and Sabers, as a most avid sports fan.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law Michael and Tina Post of Sauquoit and Daniel and Maria Post of Utica; four beautiful granddaughters Mariah, Ava, Alicia and Talia; his brother and sister-in-law Bruce and Cheryl Post of FL. and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and one sister Terri Webb.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's name may be made to the Leukemia Society. His funeral services with Military Honors were held privately in Mt. Olivet Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
