Jane M. (Caiola) DeSimone

UTICA- Mrs. Jane M. (Caiola) DeSimone, age 87, passed away on Saturday April 29, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, with her beloved family by her side.

She was born on May 17, 1929 in Frankfort, NY, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Caiola. On September 5, 1949 she was married to Angelo (Midge) DeSimone in St. Anthony of Padua Church, a blessed union of 61 years until his passing on August 29, 2010. Jane was a wonderful mother to her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are three sons and two daughters in-law Francis and Angela, Angelo and Cindy and Steven DeSimone; one daughter Jane Marie DeSimone; grandchildren Danielle and Justin, Billy and Kara, Matthew and Lori, Melissa, Maggio, Ryan, Michael and Alex; great-grandchildren, Paige, Connor, Savannah, Brianna and Zachary; one sister Rose Cacciatore; her in-laws Dominick and Mirella DeSimone, Phil DeSimone, Katie Caiola and Lucille DeSimone; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by three sons, Billy, Joey, and Richard and granddaughter Jessica and in-laws.

Jane's three sons would like to extend a special thank you to their sister, Jane Marie, for all her love, care and devotion that she has given to Jane. Without her, Jane would not have received the care that she needed over the years. The family would also like to thank the entire staff at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center and also a special mention of appreciation is given to Jack and Kim.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8 pm at The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home Inc. 1122 Culver Ave. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday morning at 10:30 am in St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
