Mr. Jonathan Ruggiero age 31, of Utica passed away unexpectedly on Thursday December 24, 2020 with the love of his family in his heart.
He was born in Utica on September 9, 1989 a son of Victoria DiFondi Chwazik and the late Vincent Mark Ruggiero and was educated in local schools. Jonathan worked in the food business in various restaurants in the area, most notably the Pumpernichel Deli & Rest.
Jonathan loved life and lived it to the fullest and he always had the ability to make you laugh. He was the consummate class clown and life of the party. He also loved anything with a motor in it, daring his next adventure. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
Surviving are his cherished daughter Adrianna Smaldon; his mother Victoria Chwazik; his sisters Jessica Ruggiero and partner Anthony Grande, and Tanya and Gary Griffith; his brothers Anthony “Tony” and wife Heather DiFillippo and James Moore and partner Deana Dutcher; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father Vincent Mark Ruggiero, Sr., two brothers Vincent Mark Ruggiero, Jr. and Jesse James Moore and his grandparents John and Anastasia Ruggiero.
The family will honor Jonathan’s life in a private ceremony with the Rev. Arthur Krawczenko officiating. Burial will be in the family plot in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro.
