Joseph A. Conte

Mr. Joseph A. Conte, age 78, of Utica, passed away on Monday December 23, 2013 at the Central Park Nursing Facility, Syracuse, NY where he had been a resident.

He was born June 2, 1935, in Utica, a son of the late Charles and Rose Chichello Conte, and was educated in local schools.

Joseph was employed at the West End Brewery for 45 years, until his retirement. He was a parishioner of Mt.CarmelChurch.

Surviving are two daughters, Christine Correia of Clay, NY, and Laura A. Conte; two sons Richard J. Conte and Mark Conte, all of Baldwinsville; several grandchildren; one sister, Rosemarie Love of Las Vegas; a brother, John F. Conte of NJ; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved son Joseph C. Conte; two sisters Carmella Howard and Lucille Conte; and a brother, Charles Conte Jr.

His funeral will be Friday at 12:15 p.m. from The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home, Inc. 1122 Culver Ave. and at 1:00 p.m. in Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Church. Visitation will be prior to funeral services on Friday morning from 10:30 am until 12:15 pm. at the funeral home. Interment will be in CalvaryCemetery.
