Josephine (Ottavio) Frank

Mrs. Josephine "Ottavio" Frank, age 93, of Utica, passed away on Thursday January 3, 2013 at the Masonic Care Community, with her beloved family by her side. She was born April 4, 1919, in Utica, the daughter of the late Peter and Calogera Vaccaro Ottavio, and was educated in local schools. On September 2, 1946, she was united in marriage to Andrew V. Frank in Mt. Carmel Church, a blessed union of 23 years, until his passing October 3, 1969. Josephine was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. Surviving are two beloved daughters and sons-in-law, Aggie and Chick Gladwin of TX, and Charlotte and Dennis Pawloski of Utica; her cherished grandchildren, Michael and Tara Pawloski, Tina Pawloski, Kurt and Brook Gladwin, Christopher Gladwin, Charlene and Richard Gnatek, and Lisa Dawson; several great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Linda Frank of Westmoreland; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Vincent A. Frank; and several brothers and sisters. Her funeral will be on Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. from The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home, Inc. 1122 Culver Ave., and at 10:30 a.m. in Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Church. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Brooklyn Unit at the Masonic Care Community for their care and compassion.
