Joyce Taurisano Caruso

Joyce Taurisano Caruso age 78, of New Hartford, passed away on Thursday October 24, 2024, at the Masonic Care Community after an extended illness.

She was born in Utica on September 24, 1946, a daughter of the late Francis and Vilma Edmonds Stuber and was a graduate of UFA High school. She was married to Frank Taurisano in 1974, a blessed union of 28 years until his passing in 2002. Joyce found love again and married Salvatore Caruso in 2004, a caring and loving union of 7 years until his passing in 2011.

Joyce was a pioneer in the real estate industry having been the owner/operator of Joyce Realty Co. and also the J.T. Appraisal Co. for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Greater Utica/Rome Board of Realtors.

Surviving are her daughter Ellen Brown Ashcraft (Brad) of Oregon; her stepdaughter Sheila (Tony) Lawrence and her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; special cousins Julie Edmonds Jones and Nancy Edmonds Kahler and several extended family members. She was predeceased by her sister Susan Doyle and her brother Frederick Stuber.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service prayers on Friday November 1st at 10:30 am in the Upper Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery. Burial will follow in the family lot.
