Judith R. (Cardone) McGauley

Mrs. Judith R. (Cardone) McGauley, age 72, of NY Mills, passed away on Monday February 14, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital with her family by her side.

She was born in Utica on January 25, 1950, a daughter of the late Vito and Katheryn Paye Cardone and was a graduate of TR Proctor High School. On September 8, 1968, she was married to William McGauley, Sr. a blessed union of 54 years.

Judy began her work career in the banking industry with Oneida National Bank, and subsequently the Savings Bank of Utica, Partners Trust, M&T and completing her 40 year career with the Adirondack Bank, until her retirement. After retirement Judy went to work at the Marcy Elementary School in the cafeteria, a position she truly enjoyed.

Surviving are her beloved husband Bill; two sons John McGauley and William “Billy” McGauley, Jr.; her cherished granddaughters Victoria Campbell and husband Ray, Samantha Matos and Krystyn Matos and Justin; cherished great-grandchildren Mason, Sofia, Paisley, Skylar and Helena Matos, and L J and Leilana Campbell; two sisters and brothers-in-law Ruth and Jim Britt and Cynthia and Bill Brown; her brother and sister-in-law Vincent and Diane Cardone and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend to her Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday 2/23/22 at 11:00 am in St. Anthony/St. Patrick Church, 3372 Oneida St., Chadwicks, NY 13319. Private burial will be in the family plot in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Judy.
