Katherine (Rozonkiewiecz) Mastrangelo

Mrs. Katherine (Rozonkiewiecz) Mastrangelo age 75, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Friday December 2, 2016 at her home.

She was born in Utica on November 26, 1941 a daughter of the late Mitchell and Margaret Waugh Rozonkiewiecz and was a graduate of TR Proctor High School. Kathy was employed for many years as a legal secretary with Helmer, Johnson and Misiaszek Law Firm until her retirement.

She was predeceased by her loving companion of many years, Reginald Smith until his passing in 1995. Surviving Kathy are her daughter Regina (Gina) Lewis and husband Scott (UPD) of Utica; her brother and sister-in-law Mitchell and Doris Rozonkiewiecz of Parish, NY; her pride and joy; grandchildren Alissa, Tyler and Mia; beloved nieces and nephews Mitchell and Patti Rozonkiewiecz, Frank and Stacy Rozonkiewiecz and Deborah and Michael Young, Michael and Emily Rozonkiewiecz and Michelle Rozonkiewiecz; her great niece and nephews Michael, Shelby and Sean and countless friends and family she held dear to her heart and so many that knew her as "Gram". She was predeceased by one brother Michael Rozonkiewiecz.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4-6 pm at The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home Inc. 1122 Culver Ave. Utica. Funeral services will commence at the conclusion of visitation at 6:00 pm in the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Kaminski officiating. The family would like to thank the Utica Police and Fire Department for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Assoc. in memory of Katherine.
