Kathryn R. Gelfuso

Kathryn R. Gelfuso age 56, of Utica passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday February 23, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center with the love and support of her family.

She was born in Utica on June 16, 1964 a daughter of Roger Gelfuso and Dorothy Marrotta Loucks and step-father, the late William DeCarr and was educated in local schools.

Kathryn was employed with Jonny’s Pizza on Genesee St and Daniele Imports on James St. jobs she thoroughly enjoyed where you could always find her with a smile on her face. A loving and devoted grandmother, she was eager for the arrival of her seventh and eighth grandchildren due in April and May of 2021. She will be sadly missed by her family and the many patrons that she has served over the years.

Surviving is her mother Dorothy Marrotta Loucks; father Roger Gelfuso; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard Cunningham Jr. and fiancée Jennifer of Oneida, Philip and Alyssa Gentile of Whitesboro and Robert Louis III of Frankfort; six grandchildren, Alena, Gianna, Angelo, Antonio, Andrew and Richard; four siblings and a sister-in-law, Russell DeCarr of Utica, Marty DeCarr of Florida, Timothy and Theresa DeCarr of Illion and Dillon DeCarr of Florida; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and her work families at Jonny’s Pizza and Daniele Imports.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services on Thursday March 4, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Harts Hill Baptist Church, 5266 Wilcox Rd. Whitesboro, NY. with the Pastor Seth McCoy officiating. All COVID protocols will be followed.
