Kevin Michael Patrick Flynn, age 35, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday May 20, 2017. a��

Kevin was born on December 29, 1981 in Utica, NY. He graduated from New Hartford High School and attended Utica College. a��Kevin was a loving son, caring brother, and loyal friend. He made his way through life, bringing joy into the lives of everyone he met. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and adventurous spirit.a��He lived a life expressed in laughter and celebration. With Kevin at your side, a smile was never far from your face.

a��Since the days of his youth, he was drawn to explore. His childhood was spent on sunny days trekking through forests, and on rainy days, drawing the worlds of his imagination. As he grew up, he spent his summers in the wilderness, camping and hiking the trails he found, and forging paths anew when he had none to follow.a��

a��Kevin applied his creative abilities and strong work ethic to his profession. He was an accomplished Journeyman Carpenter and was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters. He worked on many successful projects that can be found throughout New York state, including the Gilboa Dam, Sacandaga Lake Batchelerville Bridge, the Turning Stone Casino, the Route 12 Arterial Project, and SUNY Polytechnic Institute. a��

He had a robust love for music and sports that was eagerly shared with everyone in his life. Kevin was a great friend to see a concert with. He was a dedicated fan of the Buffalo Bills and New York Yankees. But more so, he was devoted to those he loved; he always found a way to share the love in his life.a��

a��He was taken too soon, and will be missed by all of those who had the privilege of having him in their lives: His parents, Michael and Anne (Kelly) Flynn; his brother, Thomas Flynn (Elissa Seto); his sister, Kelly Flynn (Chandrasekar Gopalakrishnan); his closest friends Michael Winkler and Sarah Conte; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. a��

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by The Rev. Paul Drobin on Saturday, May 27, at 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church at 66 Oxford Road, New Hartford, NY. The family will greet visitors at the conclusion of mass in church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kevin's memory to Shatterproof at www.shatterproof.org
