Libera "Lillian" Morelli

Mrs. Libera "Lillian" (Giangolini) Morelli, age, 95, of Orlando, Florida, formally from Utica, N.Y. passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Hunters Creek Nursing and RehabilitationCenter in Orlando, FL. with her beloved family by her side. An angel came and took her hand from ours to her new home with our Lord.

She was born on March 28, 1918 in Utica, a daughter of the late Guiseppe and Rose DiNardi Giangolini and was educated in local schools.

On May 18, 1940 she was joined in marriage to Dominick Morelli, a blessed union of more than 73 years.

Libera was employed as a Credit Manager at the Boston Store and by the Oneida County Department of Motor Vehicles until her retirement . She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.

She is survived by her husband, Dominick; one daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and James Brady of Orlando, Fla.; two grandchildren and their spouses, Michelle and Paul Flis of Orlando, Fla. and David and Brenda Brady of Ruckersville, Va. four great-grandchildren, Jacob and Rachel Flis and Elise and Evelyn Brady; sisters-in-law Anna and Helen Morelli, Larrie Giangolini and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Albert Giangolini; her sister, Marion Burnett, one grandson James Brady, her in-laws Mary and Frank Mastrilli, Grace Morelli, John and Victoria Morelli, Trudell Giangolini, Ben Morelli and nephew John Morelli.

We would like to thank the staff at the Hunter's Creek Nursing Home for all of their caring and attention to her for over four years.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. from The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home, Inc. 1122 Culver Ave. and at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Genesee St. Interment will be in CalvaryCemetery.

Visiting hours will be Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
