Lucille (Fimmano) Taurisano

Mrs. Lucille (Fimmano) Taurisano, age 94, of N. Utica, passed away on Tuesday March 22, 2016 at the Utica Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, with her beloved family by her side.

She was born on April 15, 1921, in Utica, a daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Sacco Fimmano, and was educated in local schools.

On August 25, 1951 she was married to Richard D. Taurisano in Mt. Carmel Church, a blessed union of 57 years, until his passing on January 4, 2009.

Lucille was a Piano Teacher for many years, and also the organist at St. Mark's Church for 23 years, until her retirement.

Surviving are two beloved daughters and a son-in-law, Cheryl Pereira of Utica and Lisa and Marc Perry of Utica; one beloved son and daughter-in-law, Loren and Mary Taurisano of Schuyler; her cherished grandchildren, Ashley and Michael White, Daniel Saponaro and fiancAC. Samantha Scholefield, Marc Perry and Caitlin Perry; her beloved great grandchildren Joshua, Courtney and Anthony and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters, Christine Fimmano and Rose Fimmano; one brother, Ralph Fimmano and her son-in-law, Arthur Pereira.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Andrea, Melissa and Jen for their love and support during this difficult time, and also to the 3rd floor staff at the Utica Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for their exceptional care and compassion.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 12:00 Noon in St. Mark's Church, Keys Rd. N. Utica. The family will greet visitors at the conclusion of Mass in Church. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.
