Lucy P. DeTraglia, 92, of Utica, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the Hospice by the Sea in Boca Raton, FL.
She was born May 5, 1920 in Utica, a daughter of Dominick and Mary Mott Porcelli and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. On March 6, 1941, Lucy married Anthony G. DeTraglia in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Utica. He predeceased her on November 9, 1983. Lucy was a phlebotomist and the office manager for Dr. Harry Friedman in Utica until her retirement.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, with whom she resided for the past 25 years, MaryAnn and Carl Biancardi of Utica; grandchildren, Luann and Frank Mannino of Port St. Lucie, FL; Toni Marie Biancardi and her fiancAC., James Murphy of Utica; great-granddaughter, Kareen Biancardi and her companion, Anthony Lopez of Manhattan; a special niece who was like a daughter to Lucy, and her family, Theresa and John Convertino and their children, Kelly Ann and David; and a special nephew, Joseph Catroupe, who always delighted her with his visits and made her laugh. Also surviving is her cousin, Rose Nessif; and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters, Rose Lucarelli and Carmella Cotroupe, and a brother, Thomas Porcelli.
A Prayer Service will be held at 11:30 am Saturday, April 27, 2013 from the Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home, 1122 Culver Ave. Utica, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church, Utica.
Interment will be made in Calvary Cemetery, Utica.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday from 5-8pm.
