Marie (Noti) Schafer

Mrs. Marie (Noti) Schafer, age 81, of Utica passed away on Monday March 10, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital Center, with her beloved family by her side.

She was born on May 24, 1932, in Utica a daughter of the late John and Angela Talerico Noti, and was educated in local schools. She was at one time married to Frank "Sam" Schafer.

Marie was a parishioner of St. Anthony/St. Agnes Church.

Surviving are five beloved daughters, Marie Donatello of Utica, Jacqueline and Roger Humphreys of New Hartford, Patricia and Samuel Simon, Jr. of Utica, Sandra Gambino and Anthony Zegarelli of Frankfort and Roxanne and Michael Cirasuolo of Marcy; her cherished grandchildren, Frank and Carin Crouse, Cari and Paul Sans, Nicole and Michael Panasen, Shayna and Frank Mathers, Samuel III and Deanna Simon, Marisa Simon, Heather and Jamie Waller, James Gambino, Danae Donatello, Michael Cirasuolo, Gianna Cirasuolo, Andrea and Steven O'Brien and Megan and James Kelly; and several beloved great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, especially her dear niece Janice Olivella. She was predeceased by two beloved grandchildren Robbie and Alicia Crouse; 5 brothers, 2 sisters and several in-laws.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial today at 12:00 noon in St. Anthony/St. Agnes Church. Private interment will be in CalvaryCemetery.
