Mary T. Virgili

Mrs. Mary T. "Finnerty" Virgili, age 87, formerly of Utica, passed away on Saturday December 7, 2013 at the Epsom Healthcare Center, Epsom, New Hampshire.

She was born in Boston, Massachusetts on February 2, 1926 a daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Coyne Finnerty and graduated high school there.

On June 8, 1946 she was married to Vincent J. Virgilli in St. John'sChurch, Roxbury, Massachusetts, a blessed union of 49 years, until his passing in 1995. In 2004, Mary relocated to live with her daughter Carolyn and son-in-law Lawrence.

Surviving are her beloved daughter and son-in-law Carolyn and Lawrence Johansen of New Hampshire; her cherished grandchildren Karen and husband Christopher Scudero, Alyssa and husband Benjamin Kjendal, and Vincent and wife Nora Jassak; beloved great-grandchildren Lukas and Olga Jassak, Erika, Anders, Mary, Nicholas, Peter and John Kjendal and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her dear friends Antoinette DiBernardo, Helen Trovato and Burton Jones. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Maryellen Froschauer; sisters Barbara Harrington and Evelyn Stapleton; and brothers Thomas and John Finnerty.

Her funeral will be Saturday at 8:00 am from The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home, Inc. 1122 Culver Ave. Utica and at 9:00 am in St. Anthony/St. Agnes Church. Entombment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery Mausoleum.

Visiting hours will be Friday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home.
