Monica Waters

Miss Monica Waters, 53, of S. Utica passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 23, 2015 at St. Luke's HospitalCenter.

She was born in Utica on February 1, 1962, the daughter of the late Michael and Barbara Calnero Waters. She was educated in local schools, having graduated from Notre DameHigh School , also earning her Associate Degree from Utica School of Commerce. Monica was a floral designer by trade, employed in a local floral shop, while also owning her own floral business. Subsequently, she was employed by a local medical office for several years. Monica was known for her caring spirit and love of dogs, especially her pet, Jesse .

Monica leaves behind her beloved sister and brother -in-law Valerie Waters-Auclair and husband Lt. Col. (Ret.) James Auclair of FL; one cherished aunt, Ann Cissi of New Hartford; two cherished nephews Connor and Ryan Auclair: and cousins Elizabeth Cissi -Shove and David Shove, Katherine and Julia Shove, Elaine and Matt Goudey and Mark Cissi.

We would like to thank the nurses and staff of St. Luke's Home for their compassionate care, especially acknowledging Kortney, Shelby, and Betsy.

There will be no public visitation.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday (tomorrow) at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church., Utica.

The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of mass in church.
