UTICA- Patrick “Pat” Thomas Tedesco, 36, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 27, 2022.
Pat was born in Utica, on April 3, 1985, to Fredrick “Fred” and Sandra “Sandi” (Cain) Tedesco. He was a 2003 graduate of Proctor High School and went on to gain a certificate in HVAC for heating and air conditioning.
Pat was a long-time member of Roofers Local #195, where he was proud to be part of their brotherhood.
Pat’s greatest pride and joy was the blessing of his son, Joseph Vincent, who came from a shared relationship of over 17 years with Audra Crouse.
Pat enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid NY Yankees and NY Giants Fan. He was a communicant of St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church, Utica.
He was an extremely outgoing, loving individual who was always there when you needed a hand. His life revolved around his loved ones and cherished friendships. Pat was the “Class Clown” and he enjoyed making people laugh. He had a wonderful sense of humor, a contagious smile and a warming presence. Pat adored his son, especially coaching him in baseball and football and spending time with each other going to hockey games. They were two peas in a pod as “gamers”. Family movie nights, making popcorn were a weekly tradition.
Surviving besides Pat’s cherished son, Joseph Vincent Tedesco, are his parents, Fred and Sandi; longtime companion, Audra Crouse; step-daughter, Ashani Crouse; maternal grandmother, Joanne (Paolozzi) Cain; sister, Christina (Melanie) Tedesco; brothers, James Tedesco and Freddy (Jessica) Tedesco and their daughter, Briana who was also Pat’s goddaughter, of whom he was so proud; aunts and uncles, Karen (Reed) Willis and daughter Alexandra, James (Yvette) Cain and son, Justin and daughter Chandler Cain, Carmella (Mark) Reynolds and children, Steven (Alissa), John (Bernadette) and Carmella and aunt Elizabeth Tedesco; Pat’s second godchild, Aria Rice as well as many wonderful friends, too many to mention. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Eugene J. Cain; paternal grandparents, David (Lorraine Stamboly) Tedesco and cousin, Scott Rice.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday from 4-6 pm at Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home, 1122 Culver Ave, Utica. Funeral services will be Friday at 10 am at St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church, Utica, where His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
The Tedesco family would like to thank the ER Nurses and staff of St. Elizabeth Medical Center for the care and compassion shown during such a difficult time as well as the Rescue Responders for their valiant efforts.
Please omit flowers.
