Phyllis (Sweet) Fraccola

Phyllis (Sweet) Fraccola, age 83, went home peacefully to Our Lord on Friday January 13, 2023, with the blessings of her loving and devoted children by her side.

She was born on April 1, 1939 in Frankfort, NY a daughter of the late Angelo and Mary Tripple Sweet. On November 26, 1955 she was married to Augustine Fraccola and shared a blessed union of 59 years, until his passing on August 21, 2015.

Phyllis will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, loyal friend, and as a generous person. A devout Catholic. Phyllis had a deep affection for her church, Our Lady , Queen of Apostles Church where she participated in Bible Study and the Rosary. Phyllis had a strong work ethic and recently retired after 35 dedicated years at the Factory Store in Mohawk.

Surviving are her loving children, Maria (Ray) Johnson, Gina (David) Haley and Augustino (Tammy) Fraccola; her cherished grandchildren Brittany and Ernest Neil, Leno Milinovic, Ryan Haley, Matthew and Marina Haley and Angelina and Marcello Fraccola; her cherished great grandchildren Anthony and Nicholas Neil and Adrianna and Luca Haley; her sister Bernadette Enjem and brother Joseph Sweet, several nieces, nephews and cherished friends. She was predeceased by her sister Rose (Matthew) Zennamo

Visitation will be Friday 1/20 from 4-6 pm at The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home Inc. 1122 Culver Ave., Utica. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday 1/21 at 10:30 am in Our Lady, Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort, with the Rev. Paul Catena officiating.
