Rosemarie DeSalvatore

Rosemarie (Przybyla) DeSalvatore, age 77, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on September 8, 1947 in Utica, NY a daughter of the late Andrew and Louise Przybyla. Rosemarie graduated from New York Mills school class of 1965. On November 11, 1972, she married the love of her life, Dominick V. DeSalvatore, a blessed union of 42 years until his passing on April 23, 2015. Rosemarie was employed with the Oneida County Department of Planning and the Whitesboro Central School District until her retirement in 2007. 

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Rosemarie had a way of attracting the best of friends and was grateful for all her long-lasting friendships throughout her life. 

She is survived by her daughter, Gina (Shawn) Gilleece; her son, Dominick DeSalvatore Jr.; her grandchildren, Julianna, Carter and Liam Gilleece and her dearest friend, Diane Matthews. Rosemarie was predeceased by her husband, Dominick, her parents, and her brother Andrew Przybyla.

In keeping with Rosemarie’s wishes there will be no public visitation or funeral services. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Dominick in her family plot in St. Stanislaus Cemetery at a later date.
