Thomas J. DeMichele

Mr. Thomas J. DeMichele age 53, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday February 9, 2014 at St. Luke's HospitalCenter, with his beloved family by his side.

He was born on December 21, 1960 in Utica, a son of Samuel V. DeMichele and the late Rosa Rizzuti DeMichele and was educated in local schools, having graduated from TR Proctor High School. On October 23, 1996 he was married to Barbara A. Eckel in the UnitarianUniversalChurch, Higby Rd.Utica, a blessed union of 17 years.

Tom's employment began with the Med-Call Medical Laboratories of Utica, and subsequently was employed with Smith-Kline Laboratories Co. of Albany, NY and lastly becoming the area manager of the local McDonald's Franchise until his retirement due to illness.

Surviving are his loving wife Barbara, his beloved father Sam; two sisters and brothers-in-law Sandra and Paul Mancuso and Joanne and Robert Sudakow; all of Utica two brothers and sisters-in-law Steven and Diane DeMichele of Frankfort and Douglas and Kimberly DeMichele, Utica; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Lila and Aaron Eckel of Blossvale and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family, with burial in the family plot in FishCreekLandingCemetery, Blossvale.
