New Hartford

Thomas Francis "Tim" Maggiolino, 81, of New Hartford passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday July 28, 2024.

He was born in Utica on November 12, 1942, the son of the late Thomas A. and Rose Cosentine Maggiolino. He was a graduate of TR Proctor High School. On September 28, 1963, he was married to the late Rosalie M. (DelMonte) Maggiolino, a blessed union of 44 years, until her passing on February 9, 2007.

Tom was a talented musician, bass player and vocalist. He was a member of several bands including: The Premiers, The Dell 4’s, Andy and the Classics, and Magic. Andy and the Classics were noted for their onstage skits, their well-done harmony vocals, and their choreographed stage movements. He was then employed by The Coca-Cola Bottling Company for 25 years, until his retirement in 1995. Tom truly enjoyed the many travels with his wife to Lake George, Florida, Las Vegas, and their day trips to Turning Stone Casino. He enjoyed taking many rides with Rosalie in his black corvette every summer. Thomas was very proud of his Italian heritage and loved the meals cooked by his beloved Rosalie. He looked forward to preparing a traditional Italian Feast every Christmas Eve at his home. A true family man, Tom treasured family time with his children and grandchildren. Always the jokester, we will miss his quick wit and many funny stories. Tom was a die-hard, avid New York Yankees fan, and never missed a game. He had the upmost pride in rooting for the Whitesboro Warriors Baseball and Football programs.

Surviving are his two beloved sons, Thomas (Tim) and wife, Kristen Maggiolino (Whitesboro); Dean and wife, Jennifer Maggiolino (Whitesboro); his precious five granddaughters, Kali, Kaitlyn, Kara, Alexis and Kylie Maggiolino; one sister, Mary Lou Kunkel-Grcic (Utica); brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Pompeo and Anne DelMonte (Utica), sister-in-law Shirley Julian (Liverpool); his bandmates and dear friends Andy Cittadino, Mike Carletta, the late Joe DePalma, Jimmy Cittadino, Linda and Jim McCann (Rochester), Dean and Barb Cristman (Ilion) and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Rosalie, and his in-laws, Pompeo and Angeline DelMonte.
